Carburos cementados son los compuestos de matriz de metal más afectados provocados por el hombre. Se utilizan en todas las principales industrias en todo el mundo, desde bolígrafos - minería - a la perforación de petróleo. Las propiedades únicas de carburo en sus composiciones cariosa y formas han hecho fabricantes de bienes duraderos y las industrias de proceso más eficiente al reducir el downtime de la máquina. El término carburos cementados se refiere a los carburos metálicos - partículas finas de carburo de tungsteno en régimen de servidumbre o cimentaron juntos en una matriz de un elemento metálico de bajo punto de fusión como cobalto, níquel. El proceso de pulvimetalurgia hábilmente se emplea para producir cimentó carburos.
