Molybdenum material are used in the following industries: glass melting, vacuum furnace, vacuum deposition, aerospace, solar, nuclear, electronics, automotive, and medical.
We carry molybdenum in wire, rod, sheet, and plate. We also sell molybdenum nuts, bolts, heat shields, and other hardware for vacuumfurnace and high vacuum environments. TZM alloy is also available. Wecan custom machine molybdenum parts to your specification at ourfacility.
As the Mo-30W alloy has better strength, hardness and corrosion resistance than thatof pure molybdenum it is widely used in the aerospace, metallurgy and otherdepartments. The most common compositions between molybdenum and tungsten are 30% tungsten (Mo-30W), 5% rhenium (Mo-5Re), 41% rhenium (Mo-41Re), and 47.5% rhenium (Mo-50Re). With the exception of the Mo-30W alloy which is available asa vacuum-arc-cast product, these alloys are normally produced by powder metallurgy.
Molybdenum lanthanated alloyis a molybdenum alloy containing Lanthanum Oxide. This oxide-dispersionstrengthened molybdenum is a mixture of molybdenum with a very finearray/dispersion of lanthanum oxide particles. This composition results inextraordinary resistance to recrystallization, ductility, and high-temperaturedeformation. It is an ideal material for applications requiring dimensionalstability and strength at temperatures above the capabilities of either puremolybdenum metal or molybdenum- TZM alloy.
Molybdenum-Rhenium, commonlyknown as Moly-Rhenium (Mo-Re), is used extensively in industries as diverse asmedicine, defense, pure research and production welding. Thanks to itsexcellent thermal and mechanical properties, this material is a less costlyalternative to pure rhenium.
Copper Molybdenum high performancecomposites are fabricated from carefully controlled porous Molybdenum thatis vacuum infiltrated with molten copper. This results in a MoCu composite that has high conductivity and a matched lowthermal expansion for heat sinks.
